General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Privacy Notice
Celtica Kitchens and Celtica Heritage are trading styles of Cameron Pyke, referred to as ‘Celtica’ and ‘we’ in the text below. (For address please see the footer text at the bottom of this webpage or our contact page).
All Celtica workers who handle (process) personal data have been made aware of General Data Protection Regulation. We have assessed our data security and some changes have been made to our systems.
Initially we collect, use and store personal data in accordance with the lawful basis for contracts, where we need to handle personal data to fulfil a contract (for example, a delivery address is needed for supplying furniture) or provide pre-contract services and information at the customer’s request (for example, submit estimates and drawings, make a site visit).
After an order is completed we will ask for your permission to retain your contact details and from time to time contact you for in fulfilment of our after sales obligations and possibly for further reasons given below. In this instance personal data is used in accordance with the lawful basis of consent.
The personal data we need is limited to contact details such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses. Celtica does not make any speculative contact with individuals to win business ; there is no ‘cold calling’ in any form. All contact between an individual and Celtica must be initiated by the individual. All contact details are given voluntarily to Celtica by our customers and prospective customers so that we can fulfil their orders and requests for information.
Celtica does not collect money using credit or debit cards so do we not need to know customer bank details.
Contact details are never shared with any other person organisation except on rare occasions at the customer’s request and with their express permission and when the law requires.
Once an order has been completed we retain technical data relating to the project. Technical data includes costing spreadsheets, drawings and photographs. This helps us if there is a problem in the future.
Although the formal Celtica guarantee period is one year we want our products and installations to give good service for as long as possible. After the expiry of the guarantee period, we will rectify problems where we are at fault, at our discretion.
Other than a courtesy call to check everything is OK we rarely contact customers once an order has been fulfilled but we might need to get in touch with you regarding a safety issue (for example, if there was a product alert from a component manufacturer).
Occasionally we might ask you to help us by giving a reference or commenting on the quality of our work for the benefit of a prospective customer. There is, of course, no obligation to do this but it does help us keep costs and prices as low as possible.
Personal and technical data are stored in encrypted form on a private server. Older files are archived off the server. There is no cloud storage of data. If you do not want us to keep your contact details we will remove them from our records – please see below.
